I Want to Know the Lord

No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.
John 6:64

Do you know Him as your Lord and Saviour? Do you know Him as your Lord and Saviour? Do you want to? The scripture says that if we believe in our heart that Jesus is risen from the dead and confess with our mouth that He is Lord we will be
saved. Bow your heads and let's pray. I don't know what God has been saying to you today. He may have convicted you that you've been believing a lie. You may have been drawn into a false teaching and
you're angry or feeling guilty. Remember that God forgives us of our sin when we confess.

Maybe you've never known Jesus as your Lord and Saviour and the Spirit of God has been convicting you of your sin, your lack of righteousness, a right relationship with God, and the eternal judgment that awaits you if you reject Jesus. You've become convinced by the Spirit's work in you that you need to confess Jesus as God and Lord and to ask for and receive His forgiveness. You know that you need to repent, turn from your sins and receive the gift of God, Jesus, as your Lord and Saviour.

If you are willing to receive Jesus into your life now, you can invite Him in by prayer. You can follow along as I pray.

Dear Lord, Jesus, I believe You are God and died to forgive me of my
sins. I know I have sinned. I ask you to forgive me. I turn from my
sins and I receive You as my Lord and Saviour. I believe that you have
risen from the dead. I ask that you fill me with Your Spirit to work in
me that I might live my life for you for the rest of my life. In Jesus
name, amen.

A Biblical Look at Life's Purpose

When we confess with our mouths that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in our hearts that God rose him from the dead our lives change. No longer is life about us but Christ that lives in us

"I have been cr
ucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me. Galations 2:20

1. God has created us for His pleasure - not our own.

“You are worthy O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power, for You have created all
things, and for Your pleasure they are and were created” (Revelation 4:11)

2. Christ died for us. (the penalty for mankind's sin) we now live for him - not for ourselves.

(2 Corinthians 15-16) "And He died for all so that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but for the One who died for them and was raised.

From now on, then, we do not know anyone in a purely human way. Even if we have known Christ in a purely human way, yet now we no longer know Him in this way. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away, and look, new things have come."

3.We are his workmanship - created to do good works and live accordingly.

“for we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to good works, which God has before
ordained that we should walk in them” Ephesians 2:10

4. We are called to represent him as "ambassadors for Christ" and are to be reconciled (To reestablish a close relationship) to God.

(2 Corinthians 5:20) We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God.
